Personal VTOL Pod

The challenge

Fast continental transport is still a hassle, and requires the need of transport hubs (e.g. airports), which are subject to problems on their own. Individual aviation solutions for short to medium range flights are currently being researched by e.g. Boeing, so clearly there is an expectation for an upcoming market.

The solution

The idea is to design a VTOL aircraft for a single occupant, which which is small enough to allow for take off and landing in urban areas. This is facilitated by a novelty flight profile, making it unlike current designs for single person planes or helicopters.
