Smart Water Networks

The challenge

In my birth city, Hyderabad, over half the water supplied to the city is lost to an inefficient delivery system. Some years, there have been preventable droughts in the summer caused by this system.

The solution

The solution to this system is a series of 'smart meshes' that can determine the fluid flow parameters, and when detecting leaks, a robot can provide temporary fixes and maintenance.
