The challenge

Cows on dairy farms wear color-coded ankle-bands to convey information to the milkers. These need to be changed from time to time and the current system involves replacing them by hand. Some cows tend to get quite irritated when feeling someone touch their legs and will kick back, leading to possible injury.

The solution

My solution is a tool that enables the milkers to apply the ankle-bands to the cow without getting their hands in range of the cows legs.
